Happy Election Day

Happy Election Day everyone! And it’s also my mom’s birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!

It is has been a brutal election. I haven’t watched a ton of SNL lately, but we watched over the weekend. I absolutely love what Alec Baldwin and Kate McKinnon did at the beginning of Saturday’s episode when they asked everyone if they felt gross. It’s just been such a crazy election. I’m glad all of the negative ads and hatefulness will be done. Well, I’m sure it won’t be totally be done, but it will be different. It’s been sad to see tension between people. There has been SO much of it.

img_5185However…. I’m thankful to live in a country where we can be vocal about how we feel.

I actually voted a week ago. I took advantage of early voting, something I haven’t done before. I want to give a shout out to all the people working in the City County building in downtown Indianapolis for running a smooth process. I was in and out in about 30 minutes, which includes the time it took me to park and walk inside.

So no matter who you voted for, thanks for voting. No matter who wins, we’re all in this together.

My plan is to have wine in hand, order a pizza and watch the news all night. Whether you love or hate the media, they’ll be working hard tonight. Here’s to all of you who have worked hard on election coverage. It’s the beginning of a new chapter.

Cheers…

Women’s College Basketball Festivities in Indianapolis

Downtown Indianapolis was host to the women’s college basketball championship for 2016. The city held a block party on Georgia Street and by Banker’s Life Fieldhouse for those in town. Festivities also included a concert by Cincinnati band “Cherry on Top.” Below are pictures of some of the festivities that took place! Congrats UConn!
