As a journalist at heart, my absolute favorite kind of podcasting are those with great storytelling.
In this Thursday’s episode of The Daily, “The Unlikely Pioneer Behind mRNA Vaccines,” not only did they share an excellent explanation on how mRNA works, but behind the woman that kept breaking barrier after barrier in her goal to create a successful mRNA vaccine.
It was odd in a way to be listening to a person that discovered this possibility and kept working on it despite not having any grant funding or publications.
After several setbacks, she saw it come to fruition. Granted, I know she wishes it wasn’t a global pandemic and didn’t wish for the notoriety.
However, there was something so inspiring listening to a person’s journey that was life changing within their own lifetime.
