Think it’s crazy to spend $50+ on an eyeshadow palette? Well with the Smashbox Full Exposure eyeshadow palette, or any palette, you’ll get your money’s worth.
Oh Hey, Smashbox Full Exposure!
I used my Urban Decay Naked 3 palette for three years. I’m positive you probably aren’t suppose to use them for that long… but I had some left and these eye palettes aren’t cheap! So I wanted to get my money’s worth out of it.
This year for Christmas, my mom got me the Smashbox Full Exposure eye palette. I had been eyeing this thing for months. While I loved my Urban Decay palette and would definitely buy Urban Decay again, I was ready to move away from the pink shades and back to nude, natural shades.
The Perfect Palette
This eyeshadow palette is the perfect mix of shimmery and solid colors.
I’m excited because it has have nice subtle shades for work or daily wear and then more dramatic colors for going out or if I ever learn to do a smoky eye.
If you buy a Smashbox Full Exposure palette, inside you’ll get a nice brush that is double sided on one side to cover the eyelid and then the other side is great for the details.
You’ll also get a sample of Smashbox’s Photo Finish 24 Hour Shadow Primer. I used to think it was stupid to pay my hard earned money on something I wouldn’t use much of. And to be honest, if I choose what to leave out in my beauty routine, it’s the small things like this because hello… home girl is on a budget.
Over the years though I’ve been getting eyeshadow primers here and there and they are the key to a flawless look that holds onto the color.
I have a small extra brush that I don’t use, so I take some of the primer and put it on my eyelid with that brush.
If you are curious about eye primer, you’ll get a sample if you buy the Smashbox Full Exposure palette, or just grab a trial size the next time you shop in a beauty store.
How to Apply
In addition to your brush and primer, also with the Smashbox Full Exposure palette, you will receive a nifty little how-to guide on how to apply eyeshadow for your particular eye type. You’ll also get a few ideas of what to do with your brand new palette. You have a lot of colors to work with!
Or, just do a quick Goole search or have fun on Pinterest and you will get some ideas too.
Alright, How Much Is This Going to Cost?
On average, the Smashbox Full Exposure eyeshadow palette is going to run you about $52. If that’s out of your price range, don’t worry. You can find great palettes at a much lower price. However, if the money isn’t an issue or you’re splurging on yourself, you can find this palette at many beauty stores. I’m an Ulta girl myself, but you can get it on Smashbox’s website, Sephora or many other sites and stores.
Not sure if you want to spend the full $52? You can find their travel-size version that has a nice sample of the colors to help you decide.
