While I love having everything on my computer, I’m getting back to the basics by creating a tangible cookbook for 2016. Learn what I’m doing!
My time when I get home is limited. Depending on the day, I might not be getting home until 7 p.m. I’m a meal planner, so I have a list of dinner options ready to go and it is just about executing them quickly.
Often times though, all my favorite recipes are saved on Pinterest, which I love, but now there are so many they get to be hard to find.
So even though I’m a tech person and love having everything on my computer, for this, I think it’s good to get back to the basics with something tangible. A binder cookbook.
I let myself splurge on this one by going to Target and picking out a cute binder and colorful page dividers, along with page inserts.
My plan is to create pages in InDesign with the things I need–recipe title, calories, ingredients, recipe itself and then a tab that also says “add to grocery list” so I can easily update my list.
I’ll be sure to share my results when I’m done. When I was getting married, I created a notebook with different categories so I felt a tangible cookbook just with my favorites would be an easy way for me to cook things as quickly as possible in 2016. My wedding planner was a success, so I’m hoping this will be too!
