30 Days of Weight and Wedding: Day 2

I finally got my ass outside today and did some working out. My friend, her sister, dog and I went on a 4.5 mile walk around the canal. For some reason I’ve had this fear of going out there in public to walk or jog, so today was the boost I needed. It was lovely out there and didn’t really feel like a workout. I’m on a high right now and want to do that every day. I’m sure things will change once it’s storming tomorrow. I also stayed in my WW points today too. It’s incredible how much better you feel when you eat good food.

I love carbs. I love pizza. I love bread. I love pasta. LOVE pasta. But it doesn’t make me feel well, or at least the processed versions. This past weekend I was in Chicago and we ate at a ton of great places and the food was just natural and not filled with junk. That makes me feel good and I’m definitely going to make an effort. Weigh in day is tomorrow. It’s kind of just the start, so it won’t be anything really. And next week I probably won’t see results either. It usually starts to kick in after two weeks.

Some of the biggest tasks on my plate right now are invitations, booking hair and make-up, flower arrangements and bridal shower. All I’ve gotten on top of this week in some way, shape or form. It’s a weight off my shoulders to even just be on top of it. There’s always more though to a wedding. This entire blog was to talk about how “real” things really are. And I must say, while accomplishing these tasks for my wedding feels great, it is a little overwhelming. Just because it’s an ongoing to-do list. I like being about to cross things off and be done with them. With a wedding, some things can’t be crossed off right away. Or, you cross off one thing and you’re onto the next. I honestly don’t know what I’ll do when this is all over. It’ll be something though, there always is.

I need to eat healthier and the purpose of this blog was to share my stories. My wedding is high on my agenda, so I shall share that for the next 30 days too. I feel the more I share, the easier the next 30 days will be.
